Soon here a complete history of Bugatti Automobiles SaS, Volkswagen AG Group
Last news about Bugatti EB 16.4 Veyron
Molsheim, on september 3rd, 2005
Ending the controversy due to the Bugatti Veyron 16.4’s development problems, Bugatti Automobiles SaS has officially presented its new
car in Molsheim on september 3rd 2005, to the press and to some happy few. We especialy note the two large air pipes on the roof, this
being probably the solution to the engine over-heating problems that were evocated last year. The first deliveries should be effective at
the end of this year, one say that the first customer would be Michael Schumacher himself ...
We will have soon here some pictures of this event with one of Molsheim workshop and with a complete technical datasheet of the car.
Waiting for, here are some pictures took during the Festival Bugatti in Molsheim, on september 10th 2005 :
World speed record for the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 !
The Bugatti Veyron becomes the speediest serial car in the world ! In fact,
on april 29st 2005, the Bugatti Veyron achieved a top speed of over 400 Km/h (248.5 mph). This result was realised on the high speed section of the Volkswagen proving grounds at Ehra - Lessien. The
test was supervised by the German Homologation Authority "TÜV Süddeutschland" and officially chronometred by their precision
measuring units. The car managed to reach this speed several times and in both directions, as required by the official measuring procedures.
A company spokesman said : "The Bugatti super-sports-car has thus attained yet another major goal in it ambitious development
process." Our best wishes are with all the team !
Geneva exhibition 2004 A visit on the Bugatti stand at the International Car Exhibition in Geneva (Switzerland), March 2004, allowed us rediscovering the
magnificent Bugatti EB 16.4 Veyron in a dark blue color of a beautiful effect. Nevertheless, the press release of Bugatti Automobiles SaS
published March 2 supplied rumors already persistent since last year. In fact, if Dr. Thomas Bscher, new president of Bugatti Automobiles
SaS, confirms in this document the impressive technical characteristics of the Veyron 16.4, he equally announces a new 18 months
postponement of the first deliveries, already postponed in the past. From that time, the Veyron 16.4 resembles more and more to an
invisible ghost and the rumor swells as for important technical problems, indeed to a possible cancellation of the project, due to optimistic specifications.
What happens exactly ? Nobody knows, but we can note that none of the sumptuous official Veyron’s catalogues mentions anywhere the
weight of the car. It is probably in that way that it is necessary to seek the origin of the headache. Veyron 16.4 ambitionne indeed of the
performances higher than that of the Audi R8 victorious in 24H of Le Mans, but with a weight probably 2 to 3 times higher ! Hard task for
the tires, the frame and the cooling of the engine, but it is also the project of a Bugatti relatively close to the series engaged in Le Mans
race from here 3 or 4 years, with a good luck of victory ! For us, we are dreaming about, a remake of the Le Mans 24H 1939 (won by a
Bugatti Type 57 very few modified) would not be to displease us ... We have to be patient until the end of 2005 for the first deliveries, if all occurs well ! P. Arnaud

This very beautiful Bugatti Type 57 Ventoux coupe of 1935 was also on the stand, on the opposite
side of the Veyron. One of the rare Ventoux fitted with coupe body (2 windows) and not in coach (4 windows). It was as surrounded and admired as the Veyron, even if it
was in front of the Ferrari stand !
